Finding and catching Shiny Pokémon is my favorite thing to do in Pokémon Go. It isn’t easy an easy task given how rare they are. I’m sure all the other veteran players out there know that as well as I do, especially the ones who are on a quest to catch them all like I am. But it’s certainly been a rewarding one, in my experience.
If you’ve got your heart set on doing it too, it’s important to know which Pokémon have Shiny forms in Pokémon Go. That’s because not all of them do even though they have them in the core series. Scraggy is one a lot of people seem to be unsure about since it debuted all the way back in Jan. 2020.
Is Shiny Scraggy in Pokémon Go?
If you’re hoping to find a Shiny Scraggy in Pokémon GO, you’re in luck. It’s been in the game since it debuted. Its skin has a darker shade of orange compared to its regular form, and in my opinion, it looks really cool.

It’s not easy to find though. Scraggy doesn’t appear in the wild often. The best way to find it is by hatching 12km Eggs. I had to hatch a lot of them to find one, though—and that’s just a normal one. Shiny Scraggy is obviously even rarer, so you’ll need all the luck you can get if you want to hatch one.
I’d recommend waiting for it to appear more frequently in the wild or via 12km Eggs during special events. The last one it happened in was Rising Shadows in May 2023. There have been a few others, too.
Like all Shiny Pokémon, Shiny Scraggy will retain its form after evolving, meaning you can also get a Shiny Scrafty if you feed it 50 Candies. I personally love using it in my rotation, and I am sure you will too.
