More specifically, Xbox players are wondering if the indie title is coming to their system when it releases into early access.

While it’s known that Palworld is arriving on PC via Steam when it launches on Jan. 19, news of the Xbox launch was not displayed in the new trailer—but we have a definitive answer.

Will Palworld release on Xbox?

Console, specifically Xbox fans: rejoice. Image via Pocket Pair

Palworld is indeed coming to Xbox consoles at the same time as Steam, with a launch on the Microsoft platforms on Jan. 19, 2024.

The relationship developer Pocket Pair shares with Microsoft was already established with Pocket Pair’s previous title, Craftopia, which was also a Microsoft-exclusive title. However, in that case, the PC release was a year ahead of an Xbox release.

Xbox gamers will not face another lengthy wait for Palworld, but the same cannot be said for those on PlayStation consoles, who have no news on whether the title will join the platform.

Is Palworld coming to Xbox Game Pass?

Now that we know Palworld is coming to Xbox consoles, you might be asking if the game is also arriving on Game Pass—and the good news is yes, Palworld will join the Xbox Game Pass library.

Palworld will be available as a day-one launch on the Xbox Game Pass service, with subscribers being able to download and play the game for no additional cost. This means you’ll be able to enjoy the game without having to splash out any cash.

It is not known yet, however, whether any additional expansions that may release for Palworld will also be available through an Xbox Game Pass subscription or whether users will have to pay for that content.
