Healing, please.

Surviving against Palworld’s dangers requires you to keep an eye on your health bar and ensure it’s as high as possible at all times. Considering how much you fight Pals and other enemies throughout the game, you need to find ways to recover lost HP after each encounter.

The healing process is quite quirky in Palworld, and you won’t find any healing items typically seen in survival games. So, let’s take a look at everything you should know about how to heal in Palworld.

To heal your character in Palworld, you need to rely on passive regeneration, similarly to Minecraft. Health regenerates at around two to three points per second, as long as you’re walking, hiding, or running away from a fight and not actively taking any damage. As soon as you’re under attack, your HP stops regenerating. The same goes for being stuck in the water—if you begin to drown, you won’t regenerate your health until you’re safely on land again.

In Palworld, food items don’t regenerate your HP. So, stuffing with berries, kebabs, or other food won’t stop you from dying if you’re low on health. That said, if you exhaust your hunger meter, your HP drops down to up to one unit and stays there until you eat something.

How to heal yourself using Pals in Palworld

In Palworld, particular Pals can heal you with their skills, though you need to level up a tamed Pal to unlock its Partner Skill first. Here’s a list of Pals that can heal you and their specific skills:

Pal NamePartner SkillEffect
TeafantSoothing ShowerEmits strange water that heals the player’s HP by 200.
PetalliaBlessing of the Flower SpiritHeals the player with medicinal flowers by 400.
LyleenHarvest GoddessUses soothing graces to restore 1000 of the player’s HP.
FelbatLife StealGrants both himself and the player the life steal ability, which absorbs damage and turns it into HP.
LovanderHeart DrainEnables both himself and the player to absorb the damage received and turn it into HP.
Using the Pal Essence Condenser in Palworld you can level up your Pals’ Partner Skills. At maximum level, your Pal’s healing abilities will give you double the health points.

How to heal your Pals in Palworld

You cannot heal your Pals as they passively regenerate their health in Palworld. There are no healing items that can restore their HP. To make matters worse, their health regenerates much slower than the player’s, so be ready for a long wait before your Pal’s HP is fully restored after it receives a lot of damage in a fight.

Things are a bit different for Felbat and Lovander, though. If you take either into battle, they can absorb damage and convert it to HP for themselves and their master using the Life Steal effect.

Healing your Pals might also involve curing them of status ailments such as the Sprain Pal or Depressed Pal statuses; you need to procure some medical supplies to treat them in these cases. Note that curing status ailments is not the same as boosting their health bar; HP constantly replenishes naturally or with Partner Skills in specific cases. Medicinal supplies are only for status ailments.

How to revive fallen Pals in Palworld

To revive a Pal in Palworld, you must return them to one of your Pal Boxes at any of your bases. After about 10 minutes, the Pal inside the Pal Box will be revived with a full bar of health.

So, there you have it—you know everything you need about healing in Palworld. Now you can traverse the dangers that the game throws at you with less worry of getting you and your Pals annihilated during every battle.
