Car manufacturer Toyota has signed on as a North American launch partner for Blizzard’s Overwatch League.
Blizzard announced Toyota’s involvement in the league on Jan. 18, just over one week since the Overwatch League’s official kickoff. As a partner to the Overwatch League, Toyota is expected to offer “behind-the-scenes content to fans,” as well as “additional broadcast integrations” and “a vehicle presence at Blizzard Arena Los Angeles.”

You know what this also means? Both sides likely expect a lot of money out of the deal, although the terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Toyota to the Overwatch League,” Major League Gaming CEO Pete Vlastelica said in a statement. “When we were building the league, our desire was to create a premium experience for players and fans, and partners like Toyota are helping us do that.”
Overwatch League’s other sponsors include more traditional involvement from companies like HP and Intel, both of which power the computers the Overwatch League players play on. Toyota’s integration will likely be a bit less natural.
