Immediately following the D.Va cinematic reveal on YouTube, Blizzard snuck in a glimpse at a new D.Va skin.
The green, purple, and pink D.Va isn’t too different from D.Va’s standard look, just adjusting the color scheme on her suit and mech. She does, however, get a hair switch-up—a pony tail. Her MEKA unit has a cool gradient color scheme that fades from green to blue to purple, matching her stylish new pilot’s suit. According to Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan, it’s inspired by an in-game drink called Nano-Cola.
Despite the changed up hairstyle, this skin looks like it’s probably an epic skin rather than legendary-ranked.

There’s no further information about the potential new skin, but it’s possible it will debut with the Busan map’s entrance on the live version of Overwatch. The new skin isn’t currently on the PTR with the Busan map, however. Kaplan mentioned that he had some surprises coming “later” in the fan event.
The new control map debuted today during a South Korean fan event in Seoul, South Korea. Fans have been clamoring for some Korean flair in Overwatch, and they got a lot of that with the fan event.
D.Va’s very own animated short, Shooting Star, also debuted during the event. Shooting Star gives Overwatch fans a new look at D.Va, beyond her outward appearance as an international hero. The short is a more emotional look beyond-the-scenes at D.Va’s MEKA base, where she tinkers with her mech with her best friend. Later on in the short, she makes the decision to risk her life to save the country from a new breed of omnic bad guys.
