Tin is a handy material in the post-apocalyptic survival sandbox game Once Human. Tin ores can be found throughout the game and mined. And once harvested, it has many uses.
That said, the game doesn’t clarify exactly where to find these necessary resources, including Tin. There are a few places where you can track down this material, but it’s scattered throughout the game in multiple regions. There’s more than one place to get it. Let’s look at some of these Tin hotspots in Once Human, and where you can expect to regularly find it during your playthrough.
Where to find Tin in Once Human
Tin is one of the common resources you can find in the second and third regions of Once Human. It begins to appear when you jump into the Broken Delta and Iron River areas, where you can expect to find harsher enemies than you were fighting when first playing the game. Similar to Copper and Aluminum, Tin only shows up in specific regions. You can find it on the pathways and the side of roads. You’ll need to use a pickaxe to chip away at them and have at least a Copper Pickaxe to begin hacking away at them in Once Human.
Investing in the Curiosity Catcher perk in the skill tree is also a useful way to make spotting Tin Ore around the map easier. This perk reveals any nearby Copper and Tin deposits, so you don’t have to spend ages searching aimlessly. This upgrade is worth saving up for as it will make harvesting both Tin and Copper a lot less frustrating in the long run.
You don’t want to focus entirely on a singular spot in Once Human. Instead, focus on harvesting it while playing through the game, focusing on other quests and activities to pass the time. Like the other materials, Tin appears in the hills and grasslands, in between landmarks. Whenever you’re visiting a location to complete a quest, break away for a little bit to find any Tin deposits you want to grab, and then bring them back to your base. You can also plant your base near several Tin deposits to harvest from them whenever you need to use them.
