Once Human automatically makes you use a keyboard and mouse to navigate its post-apocalyptic world, leaving some players wondering if it has controller support.
We have the answer, so read on to find out whether Once Human supports controllers.
Can you play Once Human with a controller?
Once Human does not currently support controllers. According to Starry Studios’ post-release developer blog, the game couldn’t ship with controller capabilities due to “ongoing technical adjustments.”
While that means you must use a keyboard and mouse for now, the developer plans to add controller support soon.
When will Once Human add controller support?
According to a post on Once Human‘s official X (formerly Twitter) account on July 31, Starry Studios plans to add controller support in August 2024.
At the time of writing, however, we are in August, and no update has been provided on the feature. We will update this article as soon as the developer gives a more concrete date.
While emulators could work as temporary solutions, the lack of optimization can be a deal breaker for some players. Fortunately, we should get an update soon, considering we’re in August.
While you wait, there’s plenty to do in-game until it arrives. Unlocking free content with Once Human codes or solving passcodes should keep you busy until Starry Studio releases the controller update for the game.
