A complete respec of a character is paramount if you want to explore new avenues in combat, so let’s see if No Rest for the Wicked provides you with this creative freedom.
In No Rest for the Wicked, you can become an expert with two-handed weapons, adept with a bow, or slug enemies in the face with your bare fists. You can move slower than a snail, or roll around with more conviction than Sonic the Hedgehog—such is the versatility of stat distribution and leveling up.
However, many players get to a point where they fancy a change and want to tweak their Strength or maybe move around some regretful Skill Points into another key area. Here’s what you need to know about respeccing in No Rest for the Wicked.
Can you respec or reset stats in No Rest for the Wicked?
You can’t respec in No Rest for the Wicked currently, so any decisions you make regarding stats are permanent.
Moon Studios’ CEO and creative director, Thomas Mahler, has confirmed, however, that a respec feature will come to the game “soonish.”
“We will give players a way to stat respec soonish – but it won’t be cheap, we want your choices to still matter!” Mahler said on the official No Rest for the Wicked Discord. So it sounds like we won’t need to wait for the game’s full launch to be able to reset and respec your stats.
It’s unclear how this respec feature will work in No Rest for the Wicked, but Mahler’s comment suggests it’ll carry a heavy price—in Silver or otherwise.
Many titles opt to include a special item or service early on in a game to allow players to respec. Others—such as 2023’s Lies of P—wait until much later into the experience.
While we wait for official respec implementation and more details, there is only one (simple but inconvenient) way to change your stats: Starting a new save file from scratch.
