Although there was no specific venue announced for the championship, the community caught on quickly once the ESL Twitter revealed the fan festival plans for the event.

From a quick Google search, it is all but confirmed that the Halo World Championship will be hosted in the same area as the 2016 North American Fall Season Finals.

Besides the event location, the tweet also detailed several event features, including a “Halo Festival,” cosplayers, a Bravo steam, a player lounge, a FFA competition and a food truck alley.

ESL then followed it up with two more tweets detailing discounts and ticket packages, with the former pointing to the Burbank hotel where most stayed during the Fall Finals.

Those who choose the three-day or Legendary ticket packages will get an entry into the Free-For-All competition. There is no word yet of whether there will be a prize for the FFA, nor if it will have pro player involvement.

We’ll update you when the exact location of the event is confirmed, as well as further details for the event. With a prize pot that is $1,000,000 and counting, it seems that this event will not be able to physically contain all the excitement heading into late March for Halo fans from around the world.

UPDATE:

ESL has posted an official press release for the event, confirming details of the Halo World Championship.
