Celebrating horror themes in the new Magic: The Gathering Standard set, Duskmourn: House of Horror, Wizards of the Coast also designed a Ghostbusters Secret Lair drop focused on Slimer and the animated series.
WotC has added Ghostbusters as an IP to the MTG Universes Beyond cards through a Slimer drop, featuring five MTG reprinted cards. Each of the five features borderless Slimer-focused art, illustrated by Leonardo Santanna, Jason Rainville, Bill McConkey, Clint Cearley, and Simon Dominic. Prices for the MTG Secret Lair Slimer drop are $29.99 for non-foil and $39.99 for foil.
When do MTG Ghostbusters Secret Lair cards drop?
The official release date for the MTG Secret Lair Ghostbusters drops is Sept. 30. We will update you when release times become available.
For collectors and players who are concerned about the Ghostbusters Secret Lair selling out like Monty Python and the Holy Grail did, WotC changed how Secret Lair drops work, starting with the Dungeons & Dragons drops running through September. Drops will no longer have a cut-off time, but will remain active until sold out. This doesn’t necessarily mean WotC increased the amount of product to avoid another early sellout of a Secret Lair drop.
