A Treasure Dig Hunt is always a highly anticipated monthly event in Monopoly GO due to the rare rewards it usually hands out. Treasure Hunts are my favorite event to play. Since you need pickaxe or shovel tokens to play, knowing how to boost your supply for free is key to completing the event. Here’s how.

Where to find free Dig Hunt Pickaxe tokens in Monopoly GO?

The easiest way to earn free pickaxe tokens is through daily Monopoly GO links. These update at least once a day and may contain free tokens. Completing a Treasure Hunt level usually provides pickaxe tokens too, depending on the rewards.

Using a pickaxe or shovel on a block in a Monopoly GO Dig Hunt event can also produce tokens. It may only be one or two but a token goes a long way—when you know where to dig.

Be cautious with any links that request your personal information or account details as these are definitely scams. Any legitimate Scopely link you click on your device with Monopoly GO installed will automatically open the game and give you the rewards without needing any confirmation from you. So, avoid links that take you to different websites or promise free tokens if you share your account information.

Best ways to get free pickaxes in Monopoly GO

There are five other ways to get free pickaxes for playing Dino Treasures and other Treasure Hunt events in Monopoly GO. Completing a Dig Hunt event is possible as a free-to-play player as I’ve accomplished the feat several times.

  1. Playing main events and tournaments: Participating in any special event and tournament. Daily tournaments and solo events will contain around 100 pickaxe tokens if you complete them. I like to earn around 100 a day between both, giving me a few hundred to complete a Treasure Dig Hunt.
  2. Completing Quick Wins: Quick Wins are tasks shown at the bottom-left of your screen. You can finish them by playing a few rounds with the 1x multiplier just to meet mission requirements. Completing all three Quick Wins daily can net you about a dozen pickaxes.
  3. Claiming Daily Login Bonuses: Sometimes, your daily login bonus includes a pickaxe, so make sure to log in every day to collect your rewards.
  4. Opening Free Shop Gifts: Visit the shop and look through the top offer banners until you see the free shop gift. These often contain a few pickaxe tokens, providing just enough of a boost to help you complete a Treasure Hunt set.
  5. Check the Monopoly GO gift. Every eight hours a gift box is refreshed, sometimes providing pickaxe tokens during a Dig Hunt event. The free gifts will remain the same until you open the chest, found under the shop tab. Remain vigilant in opening the Monopoly GO gifts to maximize your rewards.
