Arnim Zola is one of one of Captain America’s most fierce enemies and a true supervillain in the Marvel universe. A geneticist whose consciousness was transferred to a robotic body, in Marvel Snap he is a cost-six, zero-Power unit with one of the most game-changing effects from all cards available.

Arnim Zola’s effect in Marvel Snap reads as follows: “On Reveal: Destroy a random friendly card here. Add copies of it to other locations.” While its stats are really underwhelming for a six-cost, the advantage you can get from its effect can instantly turn the tide of the game. Building a deck around Arnim Zola is one of the best options available in the game.

Here are the best Arnim Zola decks in Marvel Snap.

Best Arnim Zola decks to use in Marvel Snap

Destroy

The first deck where Arnim Zola can be used is in a Destroy deck. Here, the offensive strategy revolves around the Destroy mechanic wherein you need to destroy your best targets as much as possible to gain a handful of advantages.

Some of the Destroy targets in this deck are Deadpool and Wolverine (for stacking more Power), while X-23 can give bonus energy when it gets destroyed. The Destroy enablers in this deck are Carnage and Venom, both of which gain Power in the process whenever you destroy cards. As for Deathlok, it is a three-cost, five-Power card that destroys all the cards in the location where you play it.

Nico Minoru is there for its toolbox of effects, such as destroying cards, giving additional Power to your units, and more. Forge and Hulk Buster, on the other hand, can be added to boost the Power of your Destroy targets. Cap off the deck with the Destroy finisher combo of Knull, which gains the total Power of all destroyed cards in the game (from you and your opponent’s side), and Death, which is an eight-cost, 12-Power card that costs one less for every unit destroyed in the game.

Negative Zola

Another deck where Arnim Zola can be used is in a Mister Negative deck where the high-risk, high-reward mantra is greatly exercised. With Arnim Zola’s six-cost, zero-Power stat line, it can benefit from the cost and Power switching effect of Mister Negative, alongside other zero-Power cards that have explosive effects.

Aside from Arnim Zola, the other zero-Power cards in this deck that can be helped by Mister Negative are Ironheart (for giving additional Power to your cards), Mystique (for copying an Ongoing effect of the last card you played), Darkhawk (for gaining plus two Power for each of your opponent’s card in their deck), and Iron Man (for doubling the current Power of the location where you play it).

Jane Foster is essential in this deck since it can get all your zero-cost cards from the deck, while Magik turns a location to Limbo which extends the game to a turn seven. This is vital to have more time to set up explosive plays in the late game. As for Psylocke and Zabu, they can be added to give you the possibility of playing Mister Negative as early as turn three.

Black Panther, the famous partner of Arnim Zoa because of their On Reveal synergy to create two high-Power Black Panther copies on the other two locations, is also in this deck. Finish off with Wong, which triggers all On Reveal effects on the same location as it twice.
