Every Madden 25 game mode, explained

No new game modes have been introduced to Madden 25. Instead, the available game modes will be familiar to the franchise’s returning players. We’ve listed all the available game modes below.

Kick-Off

The standard quickplay mode in Madden 25: Two teams are selected, and settings can be adjusted before each game. This mode can be played single-player against the AI, in co-op against the computer, or locally with another player.

Ultimate Team

EA Sports’ traditional money-spinning mode tasks players with building the ultimate roster of superstars. A variety of modes are incorporated into Ultimate Team, including challenges, Solo Seasons, Champions, and a 6v6 arcade-like experience.

Superstar

Live the life of an NFL player in Superstar mode, a player-driven single-player experience. Customize your player and enjoy dynamic seasonal experiences to progress to the status of a legend.

New to Madden 25 is the ability to transfer a player over from College Football 25 to continue your career in the NFL.

Franchise

The traditional management mode in the Madden franchise has received a face life in Madden 25 with a rebuilt and authentic NFL Draft, new team and rookie records, fresh environments, personalized storylines, and more.

Drive your team to glory in the Super Bowl or relocate your franchise to a new location. The choice is yours.

Online Head-to-Head (H2)

The definitive online experience outside of Ultimate Team sees players compete head-to-head to climb the leaderboards and face off in a new ranked structure in the form of divisions. New rewards are available through progression.
