In the European League of Legends scene, two teams near the top have been jockeying for position for almost a month now. SK Gaming, who launched themselves into a successful spring season out of nowhere, now have to defend second place from Millenium, who have found their own success just recently. The team that can come out on top here may very well enter the second half of the season in second place.
It’s clear that this is going to be a close match. Their KDAs, gold income rates, and even assists per kill are all very close to one another, with SK holding a very slight advantage. It’s interesting to note, however, that their first tower rates, lately a huge signifier of whether the team wins the match or not, are at or below 50 percent. The first team to down a tower in this game might have a huge advantage.
Player comparisons are similarly tight. Even Millenium’s breakout mid laner, Adrian “Kerp” Wetekam, barely holds a lead on opposing laner from SK Gaming, Jesse “Jesiz” Le. Wetekam’s overall kills and fantasy points may be higher, but Le has a higher KDA and gold income rate, and could put up a monster game if Millenium doesn’t take care. The other players, however, are all well-matched. This game is too close to call, and might just go to the team that puts up the first big play. Watch the mid lane for a clue as to which team comes out on top.
