League of Legends hits London this week, and day two of the LCS competition features some intense matches. None are more exciting than the rematch between Fnatic and Millenium. Fnatic, three-time champs of the league, are now in the uncomfortable position of defending their title from behind, and entered the week in fifth place. Millenium, however, have shown a big rebound in talent, especially around mid laner Adrian “Kerp” Wetekam. Which team holds the bigger advantage?

Historically, Fnatic dominate this time in the season. However, they are much more down to earth this time around, and Millenium are well within shot of their season KDAs and gold income. The biggest surprise, therefore, is that Millenium are a game up, and have a much better record on the red side than Fnatic do on the blue side.
Still, the writing is on the wall. Despite Wetekam’s early dominance this summer, Millenium are starting to fall behind in almost all individual matchups, while Fnatic’s players are only getting better. Top laner Paul “sOAZ” Boyer and mid laner Enrique “xPeke” Cedeño Martínez are really stepping up their game as of late. With marksman Martin “Rekkles” Larsson continuing to put up big numbers for Fnatic, Millenium will have to play much better than they have been to come out on top. If they falter, even just a little bit, Fnatic should have a sizeable lead.
