The LEC has partnered with two new official sponsors for the 2019 Spring Split finals in Rotterdam.
The first sponsor is Sanquin, a Dutch non-profit blood institute that’s partnered with the LEC in the past. The company is returning to sponsor the “First Blood” segment of each game—and those who attend the finals and sign up to donate blood will be able to receive a code to unlock the champion Vladimir in-game for free.
GoDaddy has also emerged as the first web-hosting sponsor for the LEC. The company helps entrepreneurs bring their ideas to life online by offering domain names, websites, and emails along with all the support they need. No information has been announced on how the collaboration will work at this time.
The two new sponsorship agreements follow an announcement from last week that global home appliance brand Beko will join the LEC as the league’s official supplier.
These companies join a growing list of partnerships made by the LEC since rebranding from the EU LCS—other companies involved include Kia Motors, Red Bull, and Shell.
