Roguelite solitaire sensation Balatro is getting bigger and better with a huge free update introducing a bunch of crossovers, and it’s already here.

During the Nintendo Indie World showcase, Balatro announced four new crossovers coming to the game in collaboration with a variety of other hit games. The Witcher, Vampire Survivors, Among Us, and Dave the Diver are all coming in part of the update on Aug. 27, providing plenty of crossover content to dive into—and the best part is it won’t cost you a single penny more.

An action-packed trailer showed characters from all of the other franchises appearing on cards in Balatro, each with special abilities that can change the tide of any game. Dave the Diver is my personal favorite because I can’t get enough of that game.

The news about Dave the Diver follows on from last week’s announcement at Gamescom’s Opening Night Live, where Balatro was introduced as coming to the title. Now, the collaborations have all gone full circle.

The mechanics of each card and crossover are yet to be detailed entirely, but with the update already having dropped, it won’t be long until we know all of the details there is to know—and the future of Balatro is certainly promising.

Though these collabs are exciting enough, Balatro is also due to receive a huge new content update in 2025, so there are plenty of reasons to continue playing and perfect your strategies to counter any deck you run into.
