To find the one-eyed witch statue after starting the quest with Garreth Weasley, players should head through the Reception Hall towards the Grand Staircase. Once at the Grand Staircase, there will be a hall archway opening to the left where the witch statue is located.
- First, go through the door directly to the right of Garreth Weasley. This will lead you to the Reception Hall.
- Once through the doors, to your right, there will be a staircase leading up to the Grand Staircase. Follow that route.
- The one-eyed witch statue is found in a hallway that leads to the Grand Staircase, on the left side.
- Players then need to interact with the statue to open the hidden passageway.
Be sure to use your Quest and Hud tracking tools to help direct you to the proper location.
Finding the One-Eyed Witch statue via Floo Flame
If you’re starting this quest a period of time after you first acquired it, the easiest way to find the One-Eyed-Witch passage is by Floo Flame. Simply follow these directions:
- Fast travel to the Grand Staircase Floo Flame.
- Head up the stairs until you encounter the first hallway opening on your right.
Once you’ve found the one-eyed witch, you’ll need to use Reparo to fix a broken elevator and descend further into the secret area. The next obstacle players will encounter is a steep rock wall that players cannot reach. Cast Levioso on a nearby platform and use the floating floorboard to parkour up the ledge.
While you can always fast travel via Floo Flames, this underground passage is perfect for those seeking to enjoy a more immersive Hogwarts roleplaying experience. Through this passage, you can travel all the way to Hogsmeade from Hogwarts Castle. You’ll pop out in the cellar of the Honeydukes candy shop, and you’ll feel just as mischievous as if you were Harry Potter using the passage himself.
After this, players are free to explore this underground area beneath Hogwarts Castle, as they can either pursue the items Garreth Weasley desires or search for further items.
Players should be warned that various enemies (primarily spiders) are lurking in many of the underground spots.
