This was the first tournament using the new StandardFormat, where players can not use any cards from the Goblins Vs Gnomes or The Curse of Naxxramas card-sets. Druid was the star of the tournament as, until the new cards and nerfs are released, he stands as the strongest class. Throughout the whole tournament, Thijs dropped only one Bo5 series, against Trump in the Group Stage. This brought him into the loser’s bracket, where he beat Kibler and managed to qualify for the playoffs. There he first met his teammate, Lifecoach whom he defeated before playing another very close series against the current world champion, Ostkaka. After he managed to take the win in the semifinals, he proceeded to win the grand final by a score of 3-2 against Savjz. This marks his first title in 2016, and with this win, his total earnings have raised to about $61,275. Standings and earnings:1st – G2.Thijs — $12,500 2nd – Liquid`Savjz — $7,500 3rd/4th – Na`Vi.Ostkaka / coL.SuperJJ — $2,500 5th/8th – Archon.Amnesiac, TSM.Trump, Cloud9.StrifeCro, G2.Lifecoach — $1,250
