The way to victory was not an easy one for Ness, who had a very strong opponent line-up in his last 3 games of the tournament. The first one was against German powerhouse Adrian “Lifecoach” Koy of G2 eSports, but after a long best of five series, the Brit won 3-2. Up next was a somewhat unknown but very skilled player, C4mlann, who had previously defeated Xixo and ThijsNL, among others. Ness only dropped one game and advanced to the finals.

The last obstacle standing between Ness and his trophy was Team Liquid’s David “Dog” Caero. After some really tense matches and the score being drawn at 2-2, Ness found himself with a board and card disadvantage, but with an upgraded Hero Power from Justicar Trueheart and his opponent at 4 health. Ness was praying to topdeck an Auchenai Soulpriest to end the match and so he did after using the draw from a Power Word: Shield.

Apart from the decent amount of money he earned, Ness will almost certainly qualify for the Spring Preliminaries taking place in May, thanks to the points awarded from the tournament.
