The long-awaited PlayStation 5 Pro console is finally expected to be shown off to the world during a special Sept. 10 “Technical Presentation”—and Sony has released the official date and start times of the event.

It’s about that time in a PlayStation console’s lifecycle when Sony decides to add to the current-gen line-up with a “Pro” version of the existing hardware. This is a superior console that’s usually lighter, faster, and more powerful in every conceivable way. The PS4 received this very upgrade, and loyal Sony players may have to shell out even more money very soon.

The PS5 Pro has been rumored for weeks, and a recent Hideo Kojima social media post gave further credence to this theory. Not only this, but a leaked drawing of the PS5 Pro was pretty much verified by Sony too. The time for talking appears to be over as the “Technical Presentation” looks to finally unveil the console.

In a social media post on Twitter/X, a nine-minute stream has been declared and it tells players to “tune in tomorrow for a PlayStation 5 Technical Presentation hosted by Mark Cerny.” An accompanying graphic also lists the start date of Sept. 10, as well as several key start times: 8am PDT / 11am EDT / 4pm BST.

While this is still all technically speculation and taking things with the metaphorical pinch of salt, the 11-second teaser for the livestream makes sure to flash the words, “The Journey Continues.”

A PS6 announcement is likely years away, and it’s probably not the also-rumored new portable console (no, not the PlayStation Portal)—making a PlayStation 5 Pro the likely outcome. The specs for the PS5 Pro were allegedly leaked months ago, indicating boosted memory and faster CPU, so you’ll need to tune in on Sept. 10 to see if this is true.
