We’re now deep into the latest era of consoles and Sony is kicking things up a gear after unveiling the PlayStation 5 Pro—and there’s not long to wait before it’s released.
Sony announced the PlayStation 5 Pro console on Sept. 10 in a detailed presentation that showcased comparisons with the standard PS5, a selection of games being played on the PS5 Pro, and the reveal of the price tag.

PS5 Pro release date and time
The PlayStation 5 Pro console will be released on Nov. 7. This is the date that retailers will be able to sell the console in person and the date you can expect a delivery of the console to arrive if you purchase the PS5 Pro online.
The release date is almost four years to the day since the PlayStation 5 was released and players will certainly hope there are no stock issues with the console like there were in 2020. Of course, this was during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, though, and supply issues should now be resolved.
If you want to know exactly how much longer you need to wait until the PS5 Pro becomes available, you can use our handy countdown below. It’s set to 10pm PT (Nov. 6), 12am CT, 1am ET, 5am GMT/3pm AEST.
The timing of the release of the PS5 Pro is deliberately placed ahead of the holiday season, with the PS5 Pro set to be on shelves for Black Friday and Christmas. Given the fact it will have only been recently released, however, don’t expect too much of a price reduction for either holiday.
