Genshin Impact, the open-world RPG by HoYoverse, took the world by storm when it was released in 2020 with its stunning visuals, characters, and gameplay, and Xbox gamers are dying to know when they’ll be able to enjoy the world of Teyvat.
When will Genshin Impact come to Xbox?
Genshin launches on Xbox Series X and S on Nov. 20. This announcement was shadow-dropped during the first night of Gamescom on Aug. 20, and since the reveal, Genshin can now be preordered on Xbox for $10.
Although Genshin is a free-to-play game, the preorder price is essentially so you can preload the game and get a few goodies. These range from two Wishes to character experience materials, weapon experience materials, and food. It’s likely Microsoft is following the trend Sony set with Zenless Zone Zero. It had a preorder bundle with goodies, and once ZZZ went live, the game became free. So, Genshin should be free upon launch.
The early response to Genshin coming to Xbox has been mixed, as many players feel it’s too late, and that they’re already tired of the game. Despite this, it’s a game worth picking up if you’re looking for something open-world and free-to-play, with endless quests, regular content updates, eclectic characters, and stunning visuals.
Now that Genshin is coming to Xbox, this title will be available on all platforms, except for the Nintendo Switch, starting Wednesday, Nov. 20.
