Gamescom 2022 dropped the glorious news that The Lords of the Fallen is finally getting a sequel, and we are incredibly thankful.
Originally released in 2014, the first The Lords of the Fallen title, published by CI Games, will be getting a follow-up in the near future. So prepare yourselves for some Dark Souls-inspired role-playing action.
Players will dive head-first into the slow-paced, weighty combat that made gamers rage beyond compare.
The announcement trailer from Gamescom 2022 comes in at three minutes and is narrated by Joseph Quinn, best known for roles in Game of Thrones and Stranger Things.
Users will receive over 100 unique weapons, different types of magic, and a variety of character classes to choose from. Set 1,000 years after the events of the 2014 title, players will get to experience several realms and tackle countless quests along the way.
Another feature will require a friend to accompany you through each realm and boss battle. Co-op will be a part of The Lords of the Fallen sequel, and it most likely won’t make any of the fights easier. There’ll be community features added to bring on a massive multiplayer aspect to the title.
No date for The Lords of the Fallen yet
Unfortunately, there is no release date for The Lords of the Fallen. We’ll have to wait to see when the official release date is. However, you may take solace in the fact we’ll learn more in the coming months as it is due to arrive in 2023.
The Lords of the Fallen announcement dropped on Aug. 23 at Gamescom and more information will come out in the future. We can only hope that they drop something soon.
To combat The Lords of the Fallen itch, we recommend playing the original title, it’ll keep you going til we learn anything else.
The title will be exclusive to next-gen consoles. More gameplay will be shown off later this year, according to CI Games.
The Lords of the Fallen will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
