Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition made its official debut during Microsoft’s E3 2018 showcase today, with a brief story trailer outlining what we can expect from the latest re-release of this JRPG.
Tales of Vesperia follows Yuri Lowell, former Imperial Knight turned citizen who lives in the Lower Quarter of Zaphias. He takes on a mission to take back a stolen Blastia Core that’s actually used to help regulate the water supply in his neighborhood. But what begins as a simple, open-and-shut mission evolves into an expanded series of events that takes Yuri far outside of his comfort zone and into a plot that threatens the destruction of the entire planet he lives on and everything he holds dear. No pressure, right?
Bandai Namco will be releasing the remastered version of the game on Xbox One this winter. The title, which originally launched as an Xbox 360 exclusive 10 years ago, doesn’t appear to have had too many changes made to it in that time, but the new version up for grabs will feature additional content and characters.

It’s a gorgeously animated game, and the first title in the long-running Tales series to hit the Xbox One. Previously, the latest entry in the Tales series, Tales of Berseria, came to PlayStation 4 in January 2017.
It isn’t clear just yet whether this will be an Xbox One exclusive, but we’ll likely have additional details ahead of its official winter release.
