Teams are still gearing up for the European League Championship Series expansion tournament, even with just 10 days remaining before the event kicks off.
Reason Gaming added two LCS veterans to power their Polish roster, while another LCS veteran left his coaching position on Gamers2.
Jakub “Kubon” Turewicz and Paweł “Celaver” Koprianiuk will tag Reason for the expansion event. Turewicz joined Gambit Gaming during the middle of the LCS season, replacing longtime top laner Evgeny “Darien” Mazaev. Koprianiuk’s spell with Poland’s best League of Legends team, ROCCAT, ended this offseason after over a year with the squad. The pair of Polish players join the next best team from Poland. Reason managed to reach the Challenger Series playoffs to earn a guaranteed spot in the expansion tournament.
One of their competitors will be without a key part of their support staff for the tournament. Ram “Brokenshard” Djemal revealed he is leaving Gamers2 on Twitter this morning.
Would like to announce that I have officially parted ways with @FollowGamers2 . I wish them the best of luck in the expansion tournament.

Djemal, who played in the LCS in both North America and Europe this year, joined the team as a coach in August with the aim of seeing them into the LCS. Gamers2 has sat near the top of the challenger scene all year, but failed to reach the promotion tournament in both Spring and Summer. The expansion tournament gives the team, captained by fiery mid laner Carlos “Ocelote” Rodriguez Santiago, one more shot to reach the LCS. But they’ll do so without Djemal, for reasons unclear.
