In indoor areas, it works like a spy camera to see if there are any monsters lurking around. You can also use it to make noises that distract the monsters in outdoor areas, giving yourself and your teammates a chance to scurry through.
The Radar Booster should be placed near the exit or the Fire Exit of a building to show if there are any monsters nearby when friends are doing their exploring. Additionally, the Radar Boosters can be pinged to let your teammates know where an exit is. It’s easy to get lost in the buildings, and a Radar Booster ping can help lead the way to safety.

To get the Radar Booster, you can buy it from the Store Page in the Terminal. Alternatively, you can also type “Radar Booster” and then press Confirm. It costs 50 credits.
How to use the Radar Booster in Lethal Company
Using the Radar Booster is simple. Start by clicking the left button on your mouse to switch it on. Next, hit the G key to place it where you want. Once it’s set, you can check it on the Monitor.
You can either watch the room or area through its camera or make it say “Hello” by typing ‘Ping’ + the name of your Radar Booster in the Terminal. Remember, you need to be watching a player for the ping to work.
How to ping the Radar Booster in Lethal Company
To ping the Radar Booster and make it say ‘Hello’, head to the terminal and type in ‘Ping’ + the name of your Radar Booster. In the photo above, the name of our Radar Booster was ‘Seth’. So, we typed, “ping Seth.” This made Seth say ‘Hello’.
If you place 1-2 radar boosters near your ship, away from the ladders, you can ping them so your friends can find their way back to the ship. Keep in mind, however, that these pings will also attract the attention of hostile creatures like the Forest Giant or Eyeless Dogs.

To use the Radar Booster to spy or survey an area, place it down in the spot you are trying to keep an eye on. To do this, equip the Radar Booster in your main hand and place it down with ‘G’. This will put the Radar Booster on the ground.
Run back to the ship and you will see your Radar Booster’s point on the monitor, marked with a special name. Our Radar Booster’s name was Seth, so it showed Seth on the map as a blue dot. It stays in its place and displays everything around it, including monsters, items, and other players.
