Riot Games has teamed up with Xbox Game Pass to give players access to all champions, agents, and more across all five of its game titles. Game Pass users will be able to save hundreds of dollars and/or hours of gameplay by unlocking benefits in League of Legends, VALORANT, Wild Rift, Teamfight Tactics, and Legends of Runeterra.
In League of Legends, players will have all 160+ champions unlocked, which players could previously unlock through blue essence or loot crates. Wild Rift, a mobile port of the base game, will also have all of the champions unlocked with Game Pass. But purchasing in-game champion skins still requires separate purchases of the champion in both League and Wild Rift.
In Riot’s popular FPS title VALORANT, Game Pass will unlock all the agents for the player outside of the ones already available when players first download it. Players could purchase these agents or unlock them by grinding out several matches. While the Game Pass does allow all agents to be played, players will still have to grind out the remainder of the agent contracts to achieve their specialty weapon skins.
In all three of these games, players will also have “day one” access to new champions and agents as they are released, plus a permanent 20 percent XP boost as long as they are an active Game Pass subscriber.
Legends of Runeterra and Teamfight Tactics players will also earn unlocks from Game Pass. TFT players will unlock one-star Little Legends Tacticians, plus four arena skins that are available until April, then one arena skin on a monthly rotation. Meanwhile, Runeterra players will have the Foundations set unlocked.
Players who link an Xbox profile to a Riot account before Jan. 1, 2023, will also earn a small in-game reward in each of the five games. All unlocked rewards for Game Pass members will be made available starting Dec. 12, except for Wild Rift unlocks, which will be available sometime in January 2023.
