Pirates have allegedly already hacked into EA’s upcoming title, The Sims 5, codenamed Project Rene. The group of hackers claim they were able to access the game’s early state by generating accessing tokens. Though The Sims 5 may still be a ways out for future players, given that it has no official release date, these unnamed pirates have already begun leaking content from the game still in development.

According to the hackers, gaining access to the unreleased title was easy due to the fact it was unencrypted and runs on Unreal Engine 5. It has not been confirmed the hackers actually attained access, though leaked screenshots certainly give credence to their claims.

This is everything we know about The Sims 5 from recent leaks.

The Sims 5/Project Rene leaks mostly center around Workshop mode, and the environment

The majority of the leaks, which were all brought out by leakers who have deleted their social media accounts but were made public by Sims Community, released more information about the Workshop mode. The game’s build mode is getting a huge improvement that allows players to dictate just about every part of an item.

Leakers have released images of the Workshop mode’s tutorial.

The environment was a huge part of the leak as well. Players can see screenshots of the different places around The Sims 5, including apartment buildings, streets, shops, and more. Images of the inside of apartments were leaked, as well as tons of images of décor and furniture items that players will be able to use.

Some photos of what characters will look like in the game were also released. They were supposedly found in the game files of The Sims 5 playtest, but the screenshots look like very early progress of the game’s development.

There have been other leaks, such as what the world might look like from the selection screen and cars, which is something players have been missing in The Sims 4.

Players have been getting a steady stream of information from The Sims 5/Project Rene from EA, but as they become hungry for more information, leakers are likely to try to glean as much information as they can and share it ahead of the release date for the game, which is still likely years away.
