While FragPunk is now available on PC, many eager console players are curious about the game and whether this unique five-vs-five FPS hero shooter will be on their platform of choice. Steam players seem to be enjoying the title thus far, and gamers on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S can only watch in amazement and wonder what it feels like to play. But is that always going to be the case?

Here’s everything we know about FragPunk‘s future on PlayStation and Xbox.

Is FragPunk coming to console?

FragPunk will launch on console some time in 2025. Although the title launched on Steam on March 6, 2025, its console launch has been delayed until some time later in the year, with no concrete release date given just yet.

So, if you own a Nintendo Switch, FragPunk won’t be available to play on your handheld just yet. Or probably ever. Sorry, gamers. But there’s always hope for the future, right? Well, we’ll talk more about that later on below.

FragPunk is currently, however, available on PC via Steam and has full controller support for both PlayStation and Xbox controllers. This means if you prefer playing your shooters on the sticks but only own a PC, you can still enjoy the controller experience. If you use another controller, you may have to remap the layout to ensure a smooth gameplay experience.

The positive news is that the game feels fluid and fun to play on controller, so PS5 and Xbox gamers will surely have a good time whenever FragPunk launches on their console of choice.

Yes, PS5 is one of FragPunk’s available platforms, set for launch on PlayStation some time in 2025. You can wishlist FragPunk on the PlayStation Store to stay up to date on its status for PS5.

Is FragPunk coming to Xbox?

Yes, Xbox is also one of the platforms where you can eventually play FragPunk, but there’s no official release date besides some time in 2025. You can wishlist it on the Microsoft Store for Xbox while awaiting its official console arrival.

Is FragPunk coming to Nintendo Switch 2?

It’s currently unknown if FragPunk is coming to Nintendo Switch. We may know more in the summer of 2025, or after the Switch 2’s full reveal in the beginning of April. With the console’s upgrades and apparent mouse-like accessibility with the new JoyCons, anything is possible.

But considering that FragPunk is not available on PS4 or Xbox One, which the Nintendo Switch 2’s hardware is apparently comparable to, it’s unlikely to be a game that comes to the latest handheld console hybrid.
