In LEGO Fortnite, tools are your bread and butter when it comes to collecting resources and fighting enemies, making them the most important pieces of equipment in the game. Players are, however, quickly getting tired of having to recreate tools after they’ve broken, especially if they are higher-level pieces.
As a result, players are constantly searching for ways to repair their precious tools and weapons so they don’t have to waste a ton of extra time to retrieve all of the necessary resources to rebuild their arsenal. It would be a very useful mechanic in the game, especially with similar games boasting repair systems of their own.
Can you repair tools and weapons?
Unfortunately, there is no way to repair your tools and weapons in LEGO Fortnite. Earlier on, there was one tactic that allowed players to fix their gear by placing all of the damaged items in a small chest and proceeding to break the small chest with their bare hands before picking up the dropped items at full durability.
The glitch was used by many players, but after getting patched by the developers, players were forced to build out their arsenal once more. In return, however, the devs significantly boosted the durability for all tools and weapons, including a 30 percent increase for Common and Uncommon ones and a 60 percent increase for Rares and Epics.
This increase should be enough to ensure that you aren’t running out of tools if you’re out on a long expedition for resources, but you won’t be able to stay out in a cave or atop a mountain for an unlimited amount of time like before. It also isn’t known if Epic Games will be adding any type of repair mechanic to the game any time soon, although most players would consider it heaven-sent if there is one.
