Floating Islands spawn closer to the end of the Fortnite match, around the third storm circle, like they did in previous chapters and seasons. Wait until you hear a rift sound and see a Loot Island marker on the screen. You can also find this marker on the map.

After the marker appears, you have approximately 30 seconds to get to the location before the island spawns. Of course, you don’t have to be there right at the beginning, but it’s your best bet to capture the Floating Island point and secure the sweet loot.

You can get on the island using zip lines hanging from it, rifts, or nearby jump pads. Once you’re on the island, look for a circle with a flag inside it—that’s the Floating Island point. If you played Fortnite’s previous chapter you’ll quickly recognize it.

To capture the point, simply stand inside the circle until the flag lifts. It takes around 30 seconds to capture the point, but it’s often heavily contested by other players. There’s usually one Floating Island per match, making them a very contested zone, so make sure you have good weapons and enough utility to fight back.

Capturing the point also grants some decent loot for you to use unless you get slammed with the Magneto Power like I did.
