Before you go heading into combat, you’re going to want to be prepared, and LEGO Fortnite has a variety of items that can be used for this preparation. Unfortunately for players, many of them require resources that can be tricky to come by.

Blast Powder is one of those resources that can remain hidden for long durations of playing LEGO Fortnite. That’s because it can only be acquired one way, and randomly stumbling upon this could prove to be tricky.

You’re going to need your explorer’s hat. Here’s what to look for so you can stock up on Blast Powder whenever you run low.

The best way to get Blast Powder in LEGO Fortnite is by taking out Pirate Skeletons in the Beach biome. These mobs appear to be the only consistent way to get this resource. Like most mobs, Pirate Skeletons are commonly found at night.

Tip:

Your best bet is to use a Crossbow to take them out at a distance. Make sure to hit them in the head for extra damage.

After defeating enough Pirate Skeletons you should have a decent stockpile of Blast Powder to craft some Dynamite with!

Blast Powder is currently only available as a drop from taking out mobs and opening chests. There’s no way to craft it yourself that has been found yet.

While we have found Blast Powder when taking out NPC groups across the LEGO Fortnite world, Pirate Skeletons are the most consistent way to get the drop at this time, so we suggest targeting them in your hunt.

These mobs tend to spawn in big groups and can be difficult to destroy. The good news is most of them you kill will drop Blast Powder—in my tests, there’s been a high drop chance so that should save you some time.

If you aren’t near the beach then the desert biome is another place to farm Blast Powder. In this location you’ll find Cowboy Skeletons at night, they also can drop the resources like their beachfront counterparts. If your weapon is equipped with the Essence of Luck you will find more Blast Powder so we suggest also setting up with this before farming.

If you’d prefer to find Blast Powder without fighting then it can sometimes be looted from chests inside caves. This method will require more searching, but it will keep you out of combat if you’re sneaky.

Now that you know how to get Blast Powder in LEGO Fortnite, it’s time to get out there and farm some Pirate Skeletons!
