How to change your username in Fortnite
You can change your Fortnite name through the Fortnite official website or the Epic Games launcher. We’ll be going over both of them to cover all bases.
- Go to the Fortnite website and click the sign-in button on the top right corner of your screen.

- Once this is done, you’ll head back to the main page.

Do you lose your skins when you change your username in Fortnite?
Your skins will remain on your account. You’re only changing your name, not the account. All of your pickaxes, emotes, and gliders will stick to your account like a bad smell. But it’s a welcomed bad smell.
The only time your skins won’t be in your account is if you’ve made an entirely new account.
So, to change your Fortnite name, you need to change your username on the platform you’re playing it on. Ironically, you can’t change your Fortnite name inside the game.
