All players will have access to new limited-time mode Downtown Drop designed in the game’s Creative mode by featured community artists. Epic says players must “launch off massive jumps, grind down city streets and collect coins to win.”

Another part of this special event is the release of special sets of challenges. One of them will include all Fortnite players, and it’ll let them unlock the new skateboard back bling Back Board and nine styles for it. A second set is exclusive for players who buy the new Hang Time bundle, which features two character outfits wearing Air Jordans. These challenges will let players unlock additional styles for the two outfits and four sprays.

It’s still unclear how much the Hang Time bundle costs and how long it’ll be available in the Item Shop. Its challenges, as revealed by data miners, will task owners with playing in Creative mode to collect items to unlock additional styles, which change the characters’ clothes colors.

There are no changes to standard battle royale game modes as part of the Fortnite x Jordan collaboration.

This new event comes as the third mashup between Fortnite and a third-party brand in season nine, and it follows the same pattern of its predecessors. Fans could first buy skins and play a game mode themed after Avengers for the Endgame movie, and a few days later they could buy John Wick while Chapter 3: Parabellum was launching. We’re only at the beginning of the third week of season nine.

Epic has yet to reveal the end date of the Fortnite x Jumpman promotion. Players should be able to jump into matches of the new LTM and unlock items starting with the v9.10 patch today.
