Fortnite: Battle Royale fans aren’t surprised to learn that another random object has shown up in-game.
A skeleton has appeared where the eighth portal was discovered in Moisty Mire yesterday.
Portals have been opening up across the Fortnite map since the rocket launch on June 30. Other rifts were found at Lonely Lodge, Motel, Tomato Town, Retail Row, Greasy Grove, a random mountain between Greasy Grove and Snobby Shores, and a small hill between Prison and Moisty Mire.
These portals aren’t just on the map for show, however. Roughly 24 hours after they appear in-game, the portals have either become bigger and stronger, caused a sign or part of a building to disappear, or made a random object appear.

In this case, the skeleton marks the third consecutive portal that has introduced a random object to the Fortnite map. Objects like an anchor and a wagon came out of the portals near Snobby Shores and the Prison, respectively.
It’s not exactly clear how these three objects are connected—but the most popular theory is that season five will involve some form of time travel, which could explain the appearance of these older items.
Regardless of what this collection of bones means, Fortnite fans are excited about what Epic Games has planned for the future of this immensely-popular game.
