Fortnite is getting a Creative game mode soon. It will allow players to build freely without having to worry about combat or getting Victory Royales, which would be a similar experience to Minecraft.
It will be a separate option in the Fortnite menu along with the PvP Battle Royale and the PvE Save The World.
The mode was leaked by Fortnite YouTuber Lachlan overnight. He published a video on his channel saying he had exclusive access to the mode ahead of time and had been playing it for a while. It seems that Lachlan made a mistake and broke an embargo, since he refers to the game mode as if it has already been announced.
Lachlan’s video has since been taken down from his channel, but there are mirrors available showing the Fortnite Creative gameplay.
In Creative, players have a few servers with islands where they are free to build whatever they want. Players are free from restraints like fall damage, since they apparently can even fly around the map, and can’t use weapons.
Fortnite Creative will also let players move and copy island tiles like concrete, grass, sand, and whatever is available. This will help them to build cities, deserts, forests, and any biome and island they can think of. They can also select structure templates on a menu to place special buildings that exist on Battle Royale and Save the World.
It’s a full sandbox mode where the only thing that matters is creating the perfect Fortnite island for you and your friends.
Apparently, Fortnite Creative is what is set to be announced tomorrow at The Game Awards.
