Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO is Bandai Namco and Spike Chunsoft’s return to the previously dormant Budokai Tenkaichi series fans have wanted for 15 years. And, while this new entry will look different from the classic 2000s titles, the wait for more controller-breaking beam clashes is shrinking.

Sparking! ZERO gameplay got a spotlight at The Game Awards 2023 with its first gameplay trailer, and players are counting down like Freiza on Planet Namek to the game’s release. And, since that short showcase, we might finally have a general idea of when more news about the ultimate DB battle will return.

Do we know the release date for Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO

In the last trailer for Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO at Summer Games Fest 2024, Bandai Namco revealed an Oct. 11 release date, with the game set to launch at midnight local time on console and 12pm CT on PC.

You can pre-order the game on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, but there is no Switch release in sight. Even though the global launch for these systems is Oct. 11, you can play three days early before anyone else by purchasing the expensive Deluxe Edition of Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO.

The Deluxe Edition not only comes with early access but also the game’s season pass, which adds new fighters to the game’s life system. There’s also a premium collector’s edition which comes with a host of other goodies, including a massive figure of Legendary Super Saiyan Broly and Ultra Instinct Goku.

Those who pre-purchase the game also get early access to seven characters before anyone else. These include three versions of Gogeta (Super) three versions of Broly (Super), and one final unrevealed playable character.
