Sometimes after a hectic fight, a great KO, or when you’re going up against your best rival in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, you just want to show off your skills.
This is where taunting comes into play. Taunting is an option that allows you to do a specific animation with whatever character you’re using at the time. Each character has three taunts that can be used at the press of a button.
All you need to do is press a button on the directional D-Pad located in the bottom right of your controller to make your character flaunt a pose.
If you’re just using a single Joy-Con controller to play the game, however, you can taunt by pushing the joystick in a direction and pressing one of the four main buttons. But you might want to turn this setting off to stop you from accidentally taunting when trying to perform a move.
Be wary when using these taunts, however, because you won’t be able to input another command until the animation finishes. This will leave you open to attack and a possible counter-KO by your opponent.
