Enotria: The Last Song has four elements to experiment with for your Elementalist build. Each is as important as the others, so you must adapt if you want to survive the many boss fights ahead.

Here is our pick for the best Elementalist build in Enotria: The Last Song.

Enotria Elementalist build: Weapons, Mask Lines, Path of Innovators, and more

Three loadouts are readily available for your experimentation. If you’re set on an Elementalist build, it’s best to have a balanced loadout for exploration and two that include all four element weapons. While every boss is strong in their own right, each can be countered with a specific element.

Enotria: Elementalist stats

Physical attack power, Elemental damage, and Mask Lines damage are equally important. You want to increase these as you progress through the game, but you should prioritize building your Elemental damage in the early game.

Here’s what I’m currently running on my Elementalist build (Lvl. 67):

  • Bruiser: 20
  • Assassin: 30
  • Elementalist: 35
  • Trickster: 13
  • Battlemage: 18

Elementalist build: Best Masks

We won’t recommend one Mask over another, as you may want to use three different Elementalist loadouts. So, here are the best Masks to use for Elemental damage:

MaskDescriptionUnlock requirement
Gardener’s MaskYou heal by a portion of your max health for each enemy hit by Ardore Burst. Also increases healing strength of Armonia Amber when you’re Awakened.Collect 100 Gardener Mask shards.
Breach Defender’s MaskIncreases Status Power while your weapon is infused with Gratia. Also increases Ardore Power when Awakened.Collect 300 Breach Defender Mask shards.
Priestess’ MaskWhen you kill an enemy with a Mask Line, you have a chance to enter Awakened state. When Awakened, your Ardore and Elemental Power are increased.Collect 300 Priestess Mask shards.
Guise of ZanniIncreases the maximum amount of Armonia Amber charges. Allows you to equip and use the “Grand Celebration” Mask Line.Defeat Zanni, The First Mask.

As you unlock new regions, bosses will introduce a new element for you to adapt to. Luckily, you can refund weapon materials at the upgrade anvil to use them again. We recommend upgrading your primary weapon up to five times. Remember that you cannot refund Memoralia used on old upgrades.

Enotria: Top Mask Lines for Elementalist build

Mask Lines may seem like an afterthought for this build, but you should still experiment as they’re particularly useful against bosses. You should use Mask Lines that imbue your weapon with elements Mask Line damage can be increased via Path of Innovators or through the upgrade station at Corda Risonante fast travel points. Here are our top picks for Elementalist Mask Lines:

VisFatuoGratiaMalanno
Grand Celebration (requires Guise of Zanni Mask)
Drunken Sword
Collera de’ Principe

Wrathful Charge
Fuoco Fatuo
Ardore Polearm
Funereal Blaze
Falling Star
Sharp Cross
Wave of Ardore
Golden Dart
Brigand’s Assault
Duelist’s Virtue (Malanno secondary weapon)
Moresca
Plagued Conquest

I like having a long-range Mask Line in case I need to back away from a fight to restore stamina while keeping the option open to deal damage from afar, regardless of my weapon choice. Mixing and matching these Mask Lines with one another is great. I like to pair Fatuo with Malanno and Gratia with a balanced close-range weapon to take on different enemy types before arriving at the next boss fight.

Elementalist build: Path of Innovators recommendations

Experiment until you find what suits you. Screenshot by Dot Esports

The great thing about the Path of Innovators is how you unlock new options as you play, building your collection and experimenting with your loadout as you explore new regions. These paths can significantly boost your stamina, attack, or Mask Line damage, but they often come at a price.

With the Aspect of the Acolyte boosting your Elemental damage further, you should pick paths that suit your playstyle and further strengthen the focus of the build: Your elemental damage. As you level up towards the endgame, you can swap to the Aspect of Vermiglio. With six paths up for grabs, here are our top picks for all weapons and playstyles:

PathDescription
Infusion Master, Part 1While your weapon is infused, you deal increased elemental damage.
AnnihilatorYour weapon attacks have a chance to deal increased damage.
Layers of ThornsSuffering melee damage causes the attacker to sustain physical damage in return.
Refined InstinctsYour Physical Power is increased every few seconds. This effect can stack. Suffering damage resets this effect.
Infusion Master, Part 2While your weapon is infused, Mask Lines deal more damage, and charge up more effectively.
Greater Inner MightCasting a Mask Line grants you increased Physical Defense as well as Super Armor for a short duration.

Paths should be swapped out in favor of the strongest counter against the enemy types you’re currently facing. We recommend having at least one Path center around one or two elements (matching the weapons in your loadout).

Finally, your equipped items should always include Armonia Sap. This grants you a small amount of health every time you connect a melee attack. Be sure to add throwable items corresponding to your Elemental weapon of choice. As these are limited resources, use them as a last resort to counter the element of the boss you’re currently facing.
