Elden Ring fans react to hilarious DLC bug that makes the final boss spawn twice

I'm seeing double here. Four Radahns!

Elden Ring’s DLC is packed with challenging encounters, and the final boss takes the biscuit. Promised Consort Radahn is ruthlessly aggressive and deals absurd damage, especially in his second phase, but one Elden Ring player encountered a bug that knocks things into 12th gear.

In a July 31 Reddit thread, u/Cagnaccioo shared a post titled “A second Radahn appeared mid bossfight” with a screenshot showing two copies of Promised Consort Radahn, poised and ready to strike, in his Enir-Ilim boss arena. Shadow of the Erdtree‘s final encounter was tough enough on its own, but two Radahns would be next to impossible.

Naturally, amused Elden Ring fans chimed in with funny remarks. The top comment reads: “fixed a bug that only made one radahn spawn during the final boss fight.” FromSoftware just dropped Elden Ring Patch 1.13 with a ton of balance adjustments, and we already know Miyazaki has a personal vendetta against us, the players, so would it be that surprising?

Other commenters were keen to point out the historical similarities. “They spawned the second consort,” a Redditor wrote in response to a famous photo of George Bush, while another commented: “*stays seated and calmly finishes listening to the young jars tell their story of My Pet Torrent.*”

“Radahn summoned his mimic tear,” another Redditor said, and if you ask me, that’d be a great end to the DLC. Our Mimic Tears carried us most of the way through, so now it’s time for Radahn to get his own back. “He got fed up with the Tarnished boss fight,” one reply says, and another enthusiastically agrees: “That would be so epic, actually. Especially if he summons in response to you summoning yours.”

When asked whether they beat the boss, unsurprisingly, the OP answered “no :(.” It seems getting double Radahns isn’t an isolated occurrence, as Redditors also shared footage of the same thing happening on MissMikkaa’s stream. If anyone can work out how to replicate the bug, it’d make for a fantastically brutal challenge run.
