Squad Battles is an offline competitive mode in EA FC 25 Ultimate Team where you test yourself against AI-controlled opponents, choosing the difficulty level you face and earning points after each match. As these points stack up, your ranking will climb, and higher tiers of rewards will become available.

But you can’t claim rewards instantly as you must wait for a set time each week. On top of this, you are still competing with other players for the best rewards. We’ve explained everything below.

Squad Battles in EA FC 25 Ultimate Team refreshes on Sundays at 12am PT/2am CT/3am ET/8am BST/5pm AEST. Once the refresh has occurred, you can claim rewards inside Ultimate Team—either in the game itself or using the Web App.

The amount of games in Squad Battles that count towards your weekly progress has been reduced significantly, making it easier to be eligible for the best rewards. In EA FC 25, there are 12 weekly matches available, plus two additional matches against a featured squad and the TOTW—though the latter only becomes available after it is released on a Wednesday.

Although you can continue playing Squad Battles after all of your assigned matches have been played, it’s not worth it as you won’t increase your rank. Instead, look to other game modes like Rivals for additional rewards to earn.
