This task doesn’t give you any additional information to work with beyond its name which might make you think you need to cook some kind of recipe to successfully complete it. The actual process for completing this task is a lot easier than you might expect, so here’s what you need to know to successfully finish the A 3-Course Halloween Meal! Dreamlight Duty in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

To complete the A 3-Course Halloween Meal! Dreamlight Duty, you need to consume one of each of the three special colored Halloween candies. This includes Red Candy, Purple Candy, and Green Candy, all of which are special items that can only be found while the event is happening.

  • Red Candy can be obtained by opening Orange Trick-or-Treater’s Bounty buckets.
  • Purple Candy can be obtained by opening Purple Trick-or-Treater’s Bounty buckets.
  • Green Candy can be obtained by opening Green Trick-or-Treater’s Bounty buckets.

All three types of Candy Buckets can exclusively be found in the Plaza biome. One of each bucket color spawns in this area each day, which means you can collect some of each candy type every day as long as the Trick or Treat Halloween event is active. On Halloween, the spawn rate of all three buckets is boosted so you can obtain more to finish off the event if needed.

For each bucket you open, you may receive anywhere between one to three pieces of candy. This means you are guaranteed to be able to complete this task in just one day, but depending on how much candy you get and whether you prefer to use it for other tasks first, you may want to wait on this one until you have a bit of each type stocked up.

Tip: Don’t confuse the event candy with regular candy

Make sure you’re eating the special colored candy for this task and not the cookable Candy recipe. You can use regular Candy in some other parts of this event, but not for this task.

In most other Disney Dreamlight Valley events, you can find all special items around various areas. This is not the case for this one though, so if you’re struggling to find candy you can eat for this task, make sure you’re carefully checking every corner of the Plaza biome.

Once you have one of each candy to consume, open your Inventory and navigate to one of them. Select the Eat option on each one to enjoy all three types of candy. If your energy is already full when you eat the candy, you’ll overfill your energy bar so you can glide or fly with wings.

After you have found and consumed all three different colors of candy, you’ll receive the Green Trick or Treater’s Bounty as a reward, which is a furniture item version of the Green Candy Bucket. This one cannot be opened to retrieve candy, and instead is a decorative item you can use to set up a festive spooky area. Once you claim this reward, the A 3-Course Halloween Meal! Dreamlight Duty will officially be complete.

The 2024 run of Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Halloween event will be live until Nov. 1, so you’ve got until then to finish this task and all other Halloween-associated Dreamlight Duties like Trick or Treat and Sugar Rush. The Night Show Star Path will also end shortly after, so be sure to also work your way through these tasks to claim the available rewards while you can.
