The Gloves of the Illuminator in Diablo 4 provide a huge boost to the Sorcerer’s Fireball ability, resulting in the Fireball bouncing as it travels and exploding each time it hits the ground. The downside, however, is up to 30 percent less damage.

The damage reduction can be removed entirely, though, and the item is still well worth looking for. If you’re up for the challenge, we’ve got the steps to follow.

Like other Unique items in Diablo 4, the Gloves of the Illuminator cannot be earned in a guaranteed drop. Instead, the only option is to rely on RNG and luck, but fortunately, there are ways to boost the odds.

The best way to farm for the Gloves of the Illuminator in Diablo 4 is to defeat Grigoire, the Galvanic Saint, and The Beast in the Ice. Both endgame bosses have the Gloves of the Illuminator in their loot table with increased odds of the item dropping.

If you’d rather not grind through bosses repeatedly, the Gloves of the Illuminator Unique can drop in other activities once you are in World Tier Three or higher. For the best odds of getting Uniques, focus on Gathering Legions, World Bosses, Helltides, and Nightmare Dungeons.

The best farming route for Gloves of the Illuminator is to focus on Nightmare Dungeons that are Tier 30 or higher. Though not guaranteed, this can provide Distilled Fear as a drop, the necessary resource to summon The Beast in the Ice.

Alternatively, focus on Helltides and collecting 300 Aberrant Cinders to open Tortured Gifts of Living Steel. Though this takes more grinding, it’s a guaranteed drop from the chests and is used to summon Grigoire.
