Shadowed Plunge is one of the many dungeons you can find in Diablo 4. What sets it apart from the rest is completing it rewards you with the Aspect of Branching Volleys. It’s a Rogue-specific Aspect that causes the rows from Barrage to have a 15 to 25 percent chance to split into two arrows whenever they ricochet.

In my opinion, it is one of the best Aspects a Rogue can have and is worth finding. You can equip it on your weapons, gloves, amulet, and ring. I recommend equipping it onto a two-handed weapon since it has the bonus effect of increasing its power by 100 percent. If you’re not wielding one, I suggest equipping it onto an amulet because it has a slightly lesser bonus of increasing its power by 50 percent.

If you’re as eager to find this Aspect as I was, you’ll need to know where to find the Shadowed Plunge dungeon and how to complete it. Here’s a step-by-step guide that will tell you everything you need to know.

Shadowed Plunge dungeon exact location in Diablo 4

The Shadowed Plunge dungeon can be found in the Haweza region, which will likely be the last region you visit. It’s where the final acts of the main story take place and is located south of Fractured Peaks on your map.

More specifically, it is located in the Vyeresz area of the map, which is near the center of the region and east of Zarbinzet, the main hub town of Hawezar. You’ll need to clear out the Vyeresz Stronghold before it appears on the map, though. Think of it as a pre-requisite to unlock the dungeon.

I’ve taken a screenshot (see below) for the exact location of the Vyeresz Stronghold. It was pretty easy to clear, in my experience. All you need to do is clear out the mobs inside. There isn’t much else to it.

Once you’ve cleared out the Vyeresz Stronghold, you will be able to access the Shadowed Plunge dungeon, which will appear on the map in roughly the same area. You can see the exact location in the picture below.

How to clear the Shadowed Plunge dungeon in Diablo 4

Once you enter the Shadowed Plunge dungeon, you’ll need to free seven prisoners. To do that, you’ll need to approach each of the seven prisoners and untie them from a wooden stake. Be warned, though. There are tons of enemies around each prisoner. The sheer volume caught me by surprise. So make sure you’ve got plenty of consumables.

After freeing the seven prisoners, you’ll need to do another objective—slaying all of the enemies in a specific area of the dungeon. Red dots will appear on the map to tell you where the remaining ones are.

The final objective is to travel to the Egg Incubation Chambers and destroy three Ward of Eyes. You can do this by finding the three eyes in separate areas of the dungeon, dealing damage to them, and making them disappear.

This is actually the final boss fight of the dungeon. It wasn’t too difficult, but I did notice the enemies around the three Ward of Eyes pack a punch and have a tendency to swarm. The hardest part was probably the handful of elite enemies that spawn around them. I found that dispatching them first helped a lot.

Once you’ve slain all the enemies and destroyed the three Ward of Eyes, you’d have finished the dungeon. The Aspect of Branching Volley will appearing your Codex of Power. All that’s left to do is enjoy it.
