Destiny 2‘s The Final Shape brought about a vendor pool update for many existing weapons, one of which is The Summoner—an incredibly popular Solar 600 RPM auto rifle that was one or two great perks away from being perfect.

However, those perks have well and truly arrived thanks to the update, and The Summoner is back with a vengeance. Here’s the god roll for The Summoner in Destiny 2 and how you can get your hands on one.

The revamped Summoner has some pretty powerful perk combinations following its revamp in The Final Shape. We’ve seen how strong the Ros Arago’s Subsistence and Onslaught roll can be: For those hunting a Solar version, The Summoner has just those perks available.

Alternatively, combine Onslaught with Heal Clip for a burst of healing for endgame activities, or consider Overflow as an alternate pick if you don’t get Subsistence—either way, both will boost your effective ammo output.

For PvP, I’m going with a focus on stability and range with Dynamic Sway Reduction and Onslaught. Zen Moment is also a solid first-column pick here.

How to get The Summoner in Destiny 2

You can only get The Summoner from completing Trials of Osiris, the weekend PvP activity. Once you obtain your first copy of the auto rifle, you’ll be able to use your Trials Engrams to try for another Summoner with randomly rolled perks.

You won’t be able to craft this weapon, but you can enhance an existing copy to lock in those sweet enhanced perks (once you level the weapon up!).
