If you are experiencing the store connection error code, there are a few methods to fix the game. Before jumping to any conclusions, you should always check if DBD‘s servers are experiencing technical difficulties, as these problems can sometimes only be fixed by the developers over at Behaviour Interactive.

To check if the DBD’s servers are experiencing issues, you can look at two different sources.

  • The official DBD X/Twitter account will post about any potential outages, and if the developers are working on a solution. In terms of the store connection error code, the developers have posted an official response to the problem.
  • The DBD Down Detector is a third-party website that tracks error messages that users send in about the game. On Aug. 13, users reported well over 400 errors, meaning the game is experiencing a server issue.

Since both the DBD Down Detector and the official account are reporting outages, players will have to wait until the developers come up with a fix.

If you are receiving the error while there are no reported server issues, then something is likely wrong with your connection. Here are a few methods of fixing the cannot connect to store error code:

  • Load into another online game. If you have no issues connecting, then the issue is specific to DBD.
  • Restart the game and your system.
  • Restart your Wi-Fi or contact your ISP to monitor any outages in your area.
  • Change your DNS settings.
  • Try a wired connection.
  • If you are playing on a console, check to make sure that your console’s services are available. For example, if you are using a PlayStation and PSN is down you won’t be able to connect to any online games.

If you have exhausted all other options, you can file a ticket with the official DBD support team.
