The countdown to the release of Cyberpunk 2077’s 2.0 Update is over, but that doesn’t mean plenty of eyes weren’t fixated on CD PROJEKT RED and this long-awaited update.

The 2.0 update, which debuted a full week before the game’s Phantom Liberty expansion, laid the groundwork for all the new content with a massive list of touch-ups and overhauls that took CD PROJEKT RED’s action RPG to a new level.

Regardless of whether players are only now planning to pick up Phantom Liberty, Update 2.0 is out now and free to all who have access to Cyberpunk 2077 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Here’s the countdown to when Update 2.0 dropped.

Update 2.0 for Cyberpunk 2077 was released on Sept. 21, 2023.

CD PROJEKT RED’s community manager Lilayah confirmed on X (formerly known as Twitter) the update’s launch times across the globe and that it would drop “close to the end” of the Cyberpunk 2077 stream that took place on Sept. 21 at 10am CT / 8am PT / 11am ET / 4pm BST (or Sept. 22 at 1am AEST)

The stream for update 2.0 lasted around two hours, and Cyberpunk 2077 dropped at the end of the stream. Since the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0, players have praised it, claiming that they now love the game and that it finally feels complete.
