Rogue Gaming has officially left the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive scene.
The North American organization dropped the news of its departure in a Twitlonger today after compLexity Gaming announced it signed former Rogue star Hunter “SicK” Mims. This means that Spencer “Hiko” Martin, Daniel “vice” Kim, Mathias “MSL” Lauridsen, and Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen are without a team for the time being.

Rogue also revealed that MSL and niko were given an offer to join a Denmark-based team, which is reportedly OpTic Gaming, and it seems as though they are following through with the signing. This is a very similar situation that Rogue faced with Casper “cadiaN” Moller, who left the team in September to pursue an offer from North.
“Losing MSL and Niko would mean another long rebuild after just completing our previous one,” the organization said in the Twitlonger. “After much deliberation, we determined that we could not spend another six months rebuilding the roster again, especially with the ESL Pro League roster lock less than a week away. With these issues, as well as interest in our remaining North American players, there was no easy way for us to salvage the existing roster.”
Although Rogue qualified for the ECS and ESL Pro League this past season, the organization stated that it won’t be able to field a full team in either league, which means they are relinquishing their spots in the respective leagues for another team to claim.
In the meantime, Rogue will be continuing operations in CS:GO until after StarLadder Season Seven. At that point, it will officially dissolve its team in the esport. The organization hopes to come back to the game later when the time is right, though.
