Two more star players may be departing from the Immortals CS:GO team, with a two week-long debacle involving Vito “kNg” Giuseppe escalating into more controversy. KNg announced last night that he is no longer a part of the active Immortals roster, following an internal suspension from the organization. KNg participated in the EPICENTER 2017 online qualifier against CLG last night, defying a stipulation of the suspension. The secondary AWPer was suspended as a result of his death threat on social media towards CLG’s in-game leader, Pujan “FNS” Mehta, over a week ago. As a result, Lucas “LUCAS1” and Henrique “HEN1” Teles recently requested to leave the Immortals lineup, according to an ESPN report. It’s possible that LUCAS1 and HEN1 prefer to team with kNg, rather than their current teammates, Lucas “steel” Lopes and Ricardo “boltz” Prass. Their coach, Rafael “zakk” Fernandes, discreetly criticized players of the trio because of their lack of professionalism and punctuality at DreamHack Montreal two weeks ago. Related: Immortals seemingly sever ties with kNg Immortals would lose its Major legend status if the Teles brothers left with kNg, because Valve requires the organization to retain three of five players from the previous Major. It’s still unclear if the organization will allow them to leave. If LUCAS1 and HEN1 were to leave Immortals, only steel and boltz would officially remain in the active lineup. H/T ESPN
